The Auster Company acquires Phoenix Produce, owned by former Auster salesman, John (JC) Cyscon.

The acquisition doubles revenue, expands product line offerings, and brings JC back into the Auster family.

Clark Auster is the 1st merchant to import fruit internationally, leading the market in the availability of seasonal produce year-round.

The Auster Company is sold to Tom Bastounes, former owner of Capital Produce, a Chicago-based family-owned produce company.

Under Tom's leadership, the Auster Company moves to new facilities at the Chicago International Produce Market.
